About I-CORE

Mission Statement: I-Core Composites, LLC will strive to manufacture and deliver the highest quality structural core materials, with a pledge to listen to our customers and continually improve our products and services.

I-CORE is a new company, combining the talent and experience of Keith R. Walton and David Lee, its founders. Keith and David joined forces recognizing the need for a new company in the industry, with focus mainly on the needs of the customer. With over sixty years of composite industry experience between them, they are providing their customers an unparalleled level of technical and customer service, reduced lead times, and a high quality custom product.

Keith R. Walton – Keith R. Walton is finally able to bring all of his talents and myriad of experiences together as President of I-Core Composites. A modern day renaissance man, who once apprenticed in a shipyard, Keith, most recently, was the Director of Marine Sales and Marketing at one of the leading composite manufacturers in the industry. When the family-owned company was sold to a multi-national manufacturing conglomerate, Keith set out to start a small, focused company to offer his customers an alternative to the huge offshore corporations currently offering structural core materials. An expert in manufacturing, design, and engineering of core composites, Keith is continually looking to enhance products and service. Keith’s vision for I-CORE is “not to be the biggest, but to be the best.”
I-CORE is the realization of a dream for Keith. For as a young man who apprenticed at a cutting edge shipyard in Southampton, England (still in operation today), I-CORE is the final challenge in a lifetime spent pursuing excellence.
Keith holds a degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the University of Southampton.

 

David Lee - David Lee designs and builds the highest quality, high performance racing boats in the industry. He is an expert in aerodynamic and hydrodynamic design, whose designs and other contributions are now virtually standard in the industry. David is now applying this knowledge and technical skill to I-CORE. David’s attention to detail, manufacturing expertise, and vast knowledge of virtually every core material and laminate, will ensure his success in operating and leading the state-of- the-art production facility in northern Alabama.
