End-grain balsa is a highly processed, ultra light, engineered wood product for use in composite sandwich construction. It has an extremely high strength to weight ratio, is resistant to crushing, shearing, and de-lamination. Our end-grain balsa panels offer superior performance and strength in weight sensitive applications.

Currently, we offer end-grain balsa panels in a 2 x 4 foot panel configuration, available in two densities, either scrimmed or rigid.


Only I-CORE structural core panels feature PlyScrim 100™. In scrimmed panels, the scrim will be flush with the surface, and the adhesive is compatible with virtually all resin systems. Each panel will be manufactured using technology unlike any currently utilized in the industry - on custom engineered equipment; thereby reducing the potential of warpage while providing improved dimensional tolerance. I-CORE panels are manufactured perfectly straight and square. The panels will be vacuum-sealed in waterproof packaging for shipping, further controlling the moisture content, boxed in high quality packaging, and palletized to ensure timely delivery of product in good condition.
